Shipshewana Day Trip

Enjoy exploring the charm and hospitality of Shipshewana, Indiana, the heart of Amish Country. This fun-filled trip combines shopping, delicious homemade food, and live entertainment.

We will leave the RACC via charter bus and head to Shipshewana, Indiana. Upon arrival, we will spend a little time browsing the unique shops and boutiques near the Blue Gate Restaurant. From handcrafted Amish quilts and home décor to specialty foods, clothing, gifts, and locally made products, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

After shopping, we’ll gather for a delicious meal at the Blue Gate Restaurant, well known for its traditional Amish cooking, homemade breads, and irresistible pies. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a hearty dinner.

Following dinner we will load the bus and drive a short distance to The Blue Gate Performing Arts Center to see Rocky Mountain Christmas – John Denver Musical Tribute, featuring musical artist, Ted Vigil. This performance brings the spirit and music of John Denver to life in a heartwarming holiday concert filled with timeless favorites and capturing the warmth, joy, and nostalgia of Christmas.

The trip cost is $120 per person.

Schedule: Meet at the RACC at 12:30 pm – the bus departs at 1 p.m. We’ll arrive in Shipshewana around 2 p.m. where you are invited to shop on your own for a few hours. We will all meet at the Blue Gate Restaurant at 4:45 and will have a delicious dinner, buffet style. Your ticket covers the cost of your meal and show.

We’ll enjoy some complimentary snacks on the return home with an approximate return at 10:30 pm

Must be 16 or older to attend this trip. This tour will require active walking. Registration and payment due by October 12 at noon. You may pay online or register and pay in person at the RACC during open hours prior to Oct. 12th.
