The robots are not coming–they are already here! In this lecture, Dr. Chad Edwards, Co-Director of the Communication and Social Robotics Labs, will discuss how social machines are being implemented into daily lives both at home and work in a new area of research called Human-Machine Communication. His scholarship (along with other lab members) explores how we interact with social robots on an interpersonal level in conversations. As part of the talk, audience members will get to engage with a few robot friends.
