Introduction to Photography

Using your Camera Creatively!

Instructor: Susan Andress

6 week class, Mondays beginning Jan. 27

6:30- 9:00 pm

Members of the KIA: $120, Non-Members: $140

This class is for students who want to learn how to use their digital cameras more creatively. Basic photographic concepts on exposure control and basic composition are explored through lectures, demonstrations and class assignments. Participants need to provide their own cameras, with user controls of shutter speed and lens opening. A tripod is recommended. Please bring your owner’s manual to the first class. Susan studied art at WMU and has exhibited her work in the area for many years. She has exhibited pastels, oil paintings, photographs and more recently digital collage images and has participated many area art competitions. She has been included in the West Michigan Area Show eight times. She won the Inner Images Gallery award in 1998 for her pastel drawing, Seaside Arrangement and a Pfizer purchase ward in 2005 for her digital image Sundial.
