Richland Area Summer Art Camp 2013

Do you love art? Do you want to make art after school is out for the summer? Let’s get creative and have some fun!
This camp is perfect for all children who enjoy making art. Students will have a fun, rewarding experience and make oodles of high quality art projects! The camp is run by Janice Garrett, a state certified art instructor and an artist herself. Students will have the opportunity to try drawing, painting, printmaking, fiber arts, sculpture, jewelry, and more! The goal of this summer art camp is to provide a fun, affordable, high quality art experience for your child that encourages their self expression and creativity.
Morning Program: (ages 6-11: all students must have completed kindergarten)
Students will be able to explore a variety of art materials and techniques. Students will create drawings, paintings, weavings, sculptures, and more. Materials we will use include: pencils, paint (watercolor and tempera), pastels, markers, crayons, glitter, yarn, fabric, air dry clay, papier-mache, and various found object/recyclable art materials.
Paint shirts will be provided, but please send a simple snack with your camper each day.
Afternoon Program (ages 9-12)
Students in the afternoon program will use and build on many of the techniques and processes used in the morning session. Students will be allowed more freedom to explore areas of interest. Some of the projects include papier-mache, wire-wrapped jewelry, comic drawing, copper foil tooling, and tie-dye.

• Morning II: June 24-27, 9-12:00 (ages 6-11)
• Afternoon II: June 24-27, 1-4:00 (ages 9-12)
