ART HOP in Richland!
July 12 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm| FREE!
We are beyond excited about our very first Art Hop and After Hop / Summertime Live FREE Concert right here in Richland!
Spend a summer evening enjoying art displayed at various locations throughout Richland (5:00-8:00 pm), and then bring your lawn chairs and dancing shoes to the RACC where you can enjoy a free Zion Lion concert (8:00-10:00 pm) on RACC’s beautiful campus!
Put it on your calendar, as you will not want to miss it–art and music, literally in our back yard!
We really can’t make it any easier or convenient for you to take advantage of this wonderful program from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
Artists Featured at the RACC:
- Jerry Fry: mixed media artist He uses bold color and descriptive line to merge surrealism with a contemporary narrative. He draws from a lifetime of experience and memories as well as gathering images and stories through his bicycle travels. These “aimless wanderings” fuel his imagination and inspire his artwork.
His gestural approach manifests in bold color and descriptive line that bridges the work of Toulouse-Lautrec, Matisse, and DeKooning to create a contemporary narrative. Fry studied fine arts at Western Michigan University. Jerry Fry has maintained a lifelong studio practice both painting and creating ceramics and sculpture.
